Why lambskin rather than cowhide
Lambskin is thinner, softer and lighter than cowhide, and it drapes rather than holding a rigid shape. On a biker jacket that would be a weakness. On a blazer it is exactly what you want. A blazer needs to fall along the body and follow the shoulder line. Cowhide is too stiff to do that well and a cowhide blazer tends to stand away from the torso and look boxy. Lambskin moves with you and the lapel rolls properly. The trade is durability. Lambskin scuffs and punctures more easily than cowhide. This is a jacket for wearing, not for working in.A blazer pattern, not a jacket pattern
The difference is real and it shows immediately. A blazer has a notch lapel that rolls, a button front rather than a zip, and pockets positioned as tailoring rather than as outerwear. The consequence is that it works with tailored trousers and a shirt in a way no zip front leather jacket does. It is the piece that lets you wear leather somewhere a leather jacket would look wrong. Two material options, and this needs stating clearly on the page
This product is currently sold with a material choice between synthetic and genuine leather while the description says real lambskin. That contradiction is a Merchant Center misrepresentation risk and it needs resolving before any feed submission. Each material must be a separate row in the feed with its own material value, and the description on the page should make the distinction explicit rather than leaving a customer to work out which one they are buying from a dropdown.Fit
Blazer fit is about the shoulder and the chest. Take your usual jacket size for wear over a shirt. Lambskin has slightly more give than cowhide but it is still leather and there is no real stretch. Note that this piece runs XS to XL rather than up to 3XL like most of the range, so check availability in your size before planning around it.Care
Condition twice a year, thinly, with a colourless product. Lambskin absorbs conditioner faster than cowhide so use less than you would on a heavier jacket. Hang it on a broad shaped hanger. A blazer in soft leather deforms at the shoulder faster than a structured jacket, because there is nothing inside holding the shape.Specification table

Lambskin is thinner, softer and lighter, and it drapes rather than holding a rigid shape. A blazer needs to fall along the body and roll at the lapel. Cowhide is too stiff and tends to stand away from the torso.
Less so than cowhide. It scuffs and punctures more easily, which is the trade for the softness and drape. This is a jacket for wearing rather than one for working in or for heavy daily abuse.
It is cut on a tailoring pattern, with a notch lapel that rolls, a button front rather than a zip, and pockets placed as tailoring. That lets it work with tailored trousers and a shirt where a zip front jacket would not.
They are two different materials. The listing currently offers a synthetic and a genuine option while the description says real lambskin, which needs resolving. Check the specification table for exactly what each option is.
Your usual jacket size for wear over a shirt. Note this piece runs XS to XL rather than up to 3XL like most of our range, so confirm your size is available before planning around it.
On a broad shaped hanger. Soft leather deforms at the shoulder faster than a structured jacket because there is nothing inside holding the shape, and a narrow hanger will leave a permanent mark within weeks.
