Intellectual Property and Trademark Notice

This page sets out who owns what on JJacket.com, our position on third-party trademarks, and the route for a rights holder to raise a concern. We take this seriously and we act on valid notices quickly.

1. Our Own Material

The photographs, product descriptions, page copy, logo, page layouts and design of JJacket.com are owned by us or used with permission.

You may view them and link to them. You may not copy them onto another website, republish them in a marketplace listing, feed them into a scraper or dataset, or use them commercially in any other way without written permission.

If you find our product photography or copy on another store, tell us at info@jjacket.com. We pursue it.

2. Third-Party Trademarks

JJacket is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or licensed by any film studio, television network, production company, sports league, brand or celebrity.

Some of our outerwear takes design inspiration from styles that have appeared in film and television. Where a name, title or character is mentioned anywhere on this site, it is used only to describe the style a garment resembles, so that customers can find what they are looking for. It is not a claim of association, licensing or official merchandise status.

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, character names and film or television titles referenced on this site remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance here is descriptive reference and nothing more.

What this means in practice

  • Our garments are our own products. They are manufactured by us, sold under our own name, and are not represented as official, licensed or studio-authorised merchandise.
  • We do not reproduce third-party logos, emblems, badges or brand marks on our garments, labels or packaging.
  • Every item carries a JJacket label. Nothing we ship bears another company’s branding.
  • We do not sell counterfeits. We do not stock, import or resell replica branded goods, and we do not manufacture anything designed to be passed off as another company’s product.

If any listing on this site gives a different impression, that is an error in how we have described it rather than a change in position. Tell us and we will fix the listing.

3. If You Are a Rights Holder

If you believe material on this site infringes a copyright, trademark or other right you own or represent, contact us before anything else. We respond to valid notices within 5 business days and we do not require a lawsuit to take something down.

What to include

So we can act on it rather than come back with questions, a notice under 17 U.S.C. §512(c) should contain:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the rights holder or a person authorized to act for them.
  2. Identification of the work or mark you say is infringed, including the registration number where one exists.
  3. The exact URL or URLs on JJacket.com of the material you want removed. One notice can cover several URLs.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.
  • Where the notice is valid on its face, we remove or disable access to the material.
  • Where the concern is with how a product is named or described rather than the product itself, we will usually rename or re-describe it rather than delist — tell us if that resolves the matter for you.
  • We keep a record of notices and of repeat issues, and we act on patterns.

4. Counter-Notice

If material of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed in error, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district.

5. Repeat Infringement

We terminate accounts and remove content associated with repeat infringement, and we do not restore material that has been the subject of a valid notice.

6. Reporting a Counterfeit

If you believe an item sold as JJacket is counterfeit, or that our photography is being used by a store that is not us, email info@jjacket.com with a link and any images. We want to know, and we pursue it.

Are JJacket jackets official licensed merchandise?

No. JJacket is not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by any studio, network, brand or celebrity. Our garments are our own products, made and sold under our own name.

Why do some product names mention films or characters?

To describe the style a garment resembles so customers can find it. The reference is descriptive only and is not a claim of association, licensing or official merchandise status.

Does JJacket sell counterfeit goods?

How do I submit a takedown request?

Can I use JJacket product photographs on my own store?
