Care

Condition the leather twice a year and brush the shearling collar with a soft brush to lift the pile when it flattens. Never machine wash any part of it. If it needs cleaning, use a specialist who handles shearling, since the hide and the wool need different treatment in a single process and a standard dry cleaner can ruin the collar. Store it hanging with room around it. A crushed shearling collar loses its loft, and loft is where the warmth lives.
